Return Policy

Cancellations:

Changes cannot be made to an order, but orders can be cancelled within 15 minutes of placement.

If a cancellation button is not shown, the order is no longer eligible to be canceled. After 15 minutes, customers can then contact Throttle and Hum by calling (815) 249-5575 to ask for order cancellation. We will work to quickly cancel any direct ordering, but cannot guarantee cancellation past 15 minutes of online order submission. If your order cannot be cancelled, don’t worry — once the products arrive you can return them to Throttle & Hum in Grand Ridge, IL, in accordance with the returns section below.

STIHL Returns:

Eligibility: STIHL offers a Seven (7) Day Customer Satisfaction Guarantee on select STIHL products. The STIHL Satisfaction Guarantee Program is extended to online purchases and allows a customer to return select STIHL serial-numbered products (exclusions below) to the participating selling Dealer for a refund (including taxes) or an exchange within seven consecutive days of the original purchase date. For non-serialized products, the customer will also have seven days to return the product.

Returns to Original Selling Dealer: All products must be returned to the original selling Dealer. For online purchases at stihlusa.com purchased and fulfilled through the Dealer with Buy Online, Pick-up in Store or Buy Online, Deliver from Store fulfillment, the product is required to be returned in-store. Throttle and Hum is located at 100 W Main Street in Grand Ridge IL and accepts returns during regular business hours.

Returns for Products Shipped to Home. Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges except when returning products due to damage or defects. We strongly encourage shipping the package with a carrier that can provide tracking and insurance, as STIHL and its Dealers cannot issue refunds for packages lost during shipment if proof of delivery is unavailable. For items purchased through stihlusa.com that arrive damaged or defective product returns, STIHL will provide return shipping labels. Please initiate your return through the stihlusa.com site. STIHL USA Returned Goods Condition: Returns will be accepted upon further verification of the following:

  • In new, fully functional, and undamaged condition

  • In the original box (unless packaging not used in the sale such as in a Buy Online, Pickup in Store Order), and include packing materials, manuals, and accessories

  • For gas products, fuel has never been put into the tank (even if it was drained)

We regret there are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted. For example, if a product is not in its original condition, or is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. All returns are subject to inspection by the selling Dealer and its personnel as to identify possible use, misuse, missing components, damage or abuse. Refunds may be denied, or only partial credit given because of failure to pass a return inspection.

Shipping and Handling: Shipping and handling charges are only refundable if the product was shipped in error on behalf of the selling Dealer or if a product is damaged and a refund is given. Otherwise, shipping and handling charges are considered non-refundable.

Timing of Approved Refunds: Please allow approximately 20 business days from the date we receive the product for your refund to be credited to the payment method used for the original purchase.

Product Exclusions:

The following serialized product models are ineligible for returns:

  • TS and TSA cut-off machines

  • GS concrete cutters

  • Pressure washers

  • STIHL Zero-Turn Mowers

  • Robotic lawnmowers

  • SG and SGA sprayers

  • RM and RMA push mowers
